Deposit return checklist
- Confirm basic rent and the deposit amount in writing.
- Keep signed check-in and check-out reports and dated photos. Normal wear is different from damage.
- The general return deadline is 14 days; where permitted deductions apply, the remaining balance is due within 30 days. Ask for an itemised explanation.
- Check which rules apply to the contract date and any renewed agreement. Seek individual advice for a dispute.
